Organizational Matters

• The course will be held in English.
• Recommended timing for participation: Do not begin before 24+0 weeks of pregnancy and do not end after 37+0 weeks of pregnancy.
• Accompaniment by a person of your choice
• Training of students: Accompaniment by students, who will perform some tasks under my supervision.
• I reserve the right to hold individual lessons of the course online if necessary, e.g. for health reasons (this happens very rarely).
• You have 10 minutes before the class starts and 10 minutes after the class ends to talk to other students, to get to your seat, or to finish the class.

 

Costs

• Public health insurance: Costs are covered by the health insurance company
• Accompanying person: 150€, usually reimbursed by the mother's health insurance company
• Privately insured: Find out if your insurance company covers the cost of the course
• Fees for absences: Missed day for those with public insurance: 30€, for those with private insurance: 60€

 

Course description

My goal is to provide you with the most up-to-date and evidence-based information to help you find the right path for you. There is no one right way to be a parent, there are 100 ways to successfully reach your "goal", you just have to find the one that feels good and right for you.

Here is a brief outline of the content:

• The last weeks of pregnancy
• Ways to prepare for the birth
• How can your birth start
• The different stages of labour and how you can both support the process
• Water birth
• Dealing with the unexpected
• Natural and medical ways to relieve pain
• Postpartum period
• Breastfeeding

For privately insured persons: If the waiting list function "auf Warteliste setzen" is the only option available, please send me an email and we may be able to find a way for you to participate in the course.
